Our tiny newborn is no more. He has been replaced by a little human. A chubby little human.
Here he is at about 2 weeks old and under 5 lbs.
Here he is now at 3 months and over 12 lbs.
Is that even the same baby? I hadn't realized how much he really has changed until I compared those pictures.
I kind of miss my tiny little newborn. He slept a lot. He never really cried. He snored and squeaked and grunted a lot.
But I also love my baby boy that is big and smiley and fun. He sleeps a lot less. He cries a lot more. He coos and whines and talks all the time. And he is changing everyday too.
Here are some new developments in the life of Thompson:
-He is starting to be entertained by toys instead of just mom and dad, which makes life a little easier for mom and dad.
-He sleeps through the night, which makes life a lot easier for mom and dad.
-He is vocalizing like crazy and loves having little conversations with us.
-He gets more and more smiley every day but has to be tricked into smiling for the camera.
-He likes to be goofy.
-He is starting to figure out that his hand is part of his own body and loves sucking on it.
-He has developed this weird habit of almost always having his right arm sticking out with his hand in a fist. Is that normal?
And some things that have never changed about our little guy.
-He has always loved cuddling, especially when he is tired.
-He has always loved looking intently at people and the world around him. One of the things he has always loved best is looking at the airplanes above his changing table.
-And he has always loved looking unbelievably cute.
