Since Trevor was working and we had Young Mens/Young Womens activities to go to that night, we didn't make any big plans. I went to the Hunter seminary to have lunch with Trevor. I got to see how he decorated his room this year, meet some the new faculty, and be mistaken for one of his students (as usual). I thought the whole pregnant thing would help with the "you look like you should be his student, not his wife" comments, but apparently not. I guess it is West Valley.
After Trevor got home from work we went to the Garden Restaurant in the Joseph Smith Building. We thought we would be the only ones going to dinner at 4:30, but we were joined by the senior citizen crowd hitting up the early bird specials. After dinner we went over to the Wasatch Room, to reminiscence about the wedding dinner we had there three years ago. Mostly it just made us want the food and cake we were too tired to enjoy that night.
I woke up on Wednesday to the above note on our fridge from Trevor. It was the first card I had even received that was bigger than me. He must have gotten to know me pretty well over the last three years, because at the end he wrote, "P.S. Don't worry, I tested this first, and the marker comes off".
Here are Trevor's thoughts about his creation:
This is probably the greatest card ever created. I shall proceed to make my argument: Reason #1 - It is written with whiteboard markers and who doesn't love writing with those amazing writing utensils. Reason #2 - It is huge. If Wal-mart thinks they are hot for making 11x17 cards, they've got a bigger competitor -- Whirlpool. Reason #3 - It is the only card ever to contain a full-size red velvet cake inside, and not just some illustration of a cake with glittery candles, I'm talking a 100% Costo Brand Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting baby! Hallmark, eat your heart out!
This was three years ago...
Our cake was no Costco red velvet cake, but it was good none the less.
This is now. I have changed just a little bit.
Look at your cute baby belly!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! I am glad you started a blog so we could see more of what you are up to!
ReplyDeleteYou look super cute--and only slightly "pregnant-teenish" ( I can say that because I got that all the time too). I'm excited to stalk your lives now that we live so far away! Good luck with everything!
